Crazy Kids on the [failed] Club Scene!

Friday night Alvin, Anitra, Bridget, Lanette and I were supposed to meet up with one of our friends who is studying at Leeds University. So we got ready and called our friend trying to find out where they were so we could look it up and get cover charge information, etc. However, when we got the name and looked it up online, we found out that it was a burlesque club. We quickly decided that we were NOT going to go to this club and looked for a different one to go to. So we decided to try 333. Once we got there we paid the £5 cover charge and went in and there was like NO one there! There were maybe like 8 other people in the club when we got there and NO one was dancing. The music wasn’t really danceable anyway, it was mostly just loud and crappy. At one point Alvin went and asked the DJ if he had anything “American” and the reply was “I might” then Alvin tried to ask if they had anything we could dance to and the DJ said “probably not.” So we decided to stick it out and hope that more people showed up and started to dance since our cover charge was not refundable but when that didn’t happen, we decided to leave. Apparently the club has 3 stories though and on our way out we decided to head to the upstairs floor. We weren’t there for 5 minutes before this guy dropped his beer mug and spilled beer all over Bridget’s and my feet. So we went to the bathroom and tried to clean up but we were pretty sticky and miserable. After this, the five of us decided just to leave and come back to school and hang out in Bridget’s and my room. It was a rather fun night in which we stayed up way too late and had WAY more fun than we would have at the club!
