What Were They Thinking?!?!

So as I said before, I have never flown or traveled. Therefore, up until now, I did not have any luggage. So imagine how happy I was when I found a 5-piece luggage set on sale from $150.00 to $38.88 in the craziness that is Black Friday sales. Being busy with the end of the semester and finals and packing and such, I hadn’t had a chance, or a real reason to open the box.

That is until this morning when I was packing and decided that it might be a good idea to open the box to inspect and try out the new luggage. I was not prepared for what I saw! The luggage was A LOT smaller than I thought it was going to be! “WHAT WERE THEY THINKING MAKING THESE THINGS SO SMALL?!?! How am I going to fit everything into these?! I can barely fit all my toiletries let alone clothes AND shoes. I can’t live without my shoes!” I thought.

So I tried to pack for my week-long trip, determined to fit as much stuff in as I can while wondering the entire time how I was possibly going to pack enough for my months in London when I could barely fit what I deemed necessary for a week away from home into this suitcase!

As I continued to pack and ponder, Bridget woke up and was packing for her own trip back to Philly. I began to zip up the suitcase while Bridget just kind of stood on the stairs looking at me with a rather weird facial expression. “How are you going to get to London with those? Can you even fit all of your stuff in them?” she asked. “I don’t know, I am a little worried about that too,” I replied. And then after a few seconds of silence, “Well, you could always Google how to pack,” offered my ingenious best friend.
